I hate the lack of objectivity in game reviews. If someone complains a game is linear then I think thats evidence that they have already decided they don't like the game before playing it and are desperately looking for a poor reason to write negatively about it.
And if thats the best complaint anyone can come up with about killzone 2 then I think its safe to assume that its actually really good.
